Paradise! Home to the Manta Ray & Mola Mola. Nusa Lembongan & Penida. A photo journey.

I just got back late last night from another exhilarating trip to Bali. 3 days in Ubud (Read: Rustic Green. Winging it with Airbnb in Ubud. 50/50) with a day spent on a group of 3 islands south-east of Nusa Dua, Bali that form part of the Lesser Sunda Islands – Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida and tiny Nusa Ceningan sandwiched in between. Nusa Lembongan is a 30 minute speed boat ride from Sanur, Bali and is well worth the visit for its untouched beaches, gorgeous rugged landscape and clear blue waters.

From the ferry point we rented vespas to Mushroom Bay, where we engaged a small boat to take us to Crystal Bay, Nusa Penida for snorkelling.

Cute and cosy le Pirate, Nusa Ceningan for lunch and a quick swim. With little wooden sea-facing huts available for $40 per night, a white infinity pool, this place had a great vibe and is extremely popular with surfers.

  3. So Happy to discover your stories on Bali ! I am headed back that way for 6 weeks and was having trouble deciding where to go on the beaches and islands. All the “nusa” group are on my list and its nice to see some photos and hear about what you thought. Was also considering Lovina and also headed to Java ! Shall do a little more “stalking” through your blog now I think 😉 haha

    • Oh I’m sure you will LOVE the Nusa islands, I certainly did. Do Candi Dasa and Amed as well, much nicer than Seminyak / Nusa Dua (overrun with people), and if you like go further north-east skirting the coast. Java, is very nice too, steeped in history. Haven’t been to Lovina, but look forward to seeing it through your eyes, should you go and blog about it. Enjoy Indonesia! Lovely country with such amazing people.
