Tomales Bay. California.

On a trip to Northern California to see a friend in January, we decided to drive through Tomales Bay on the way back from Sonoma Wine Country to sample oysters for lunch.

Super hungry after driving for about an hour, we stopped at the the highly recommended Hog Island Oyster farm and restaurant. However the thought of shucking oysters in the cold windy outdoors was far from appealing and we beat a hasty retreat and ended up at The Marshall Store a few kilometres away. Their clam chowder was heaven sent, especially taking the dreary weather into account, and I would highly recommend the oyster sampler with chorizo. Yum!

  1. I am not too far from Sonoma. I am sure I can reach this place easily. Your photo is so delicious. I wonder how delicious the food will be!
